Growing Grapes in Oklahoma is a narrative thesis about finding one’s way towards a sense of place in location, vocation, and village. It focuses on analog book design and binding, and each copy of the thesis consists of two hand-bound thesis books; a copy of the published Homeward Nomad, Vol. 1 Sketchbook Anthology; a copy of the hand-bound replica of the sketchbook Besøkende in it’s carrying case, as well as a custom-tailored empty sketchbook; all of which is contained in a Italian cloth clad flower-opening case.
